it’s vital to recognize and support the voices and actions of youth shaping a fairer, more sustainable world.
On International Youth Day, we spotlight a generation navigating uncertainty and shaping the future. Young people, who make up nearly 40% of the world’s population, face complex challenges, from economic instability to social inequalities. Yet they continue to drive powerful movements for climate action, human rights, and social justice.
Despite blurred horizons, their resilience and commitment stand out. They are not simply waiting for change; they are creating it.
In 2021, the UNESCO Courier devoted an issue to youth titled "The 20s: Really the best age to be? "a timely reflection on what it means to come of age in today’s world.
As we mark this day, it’s vital to recognize and support the voices and actions of youth shaping a fairer, more sustainable world.
